one crazy weekend!

Crazy doesn't even begin to describe my weekend. I headed up to IL on friday... a trip that should take 3 and a half hours, took 5. I picked up my niece, Kayla and headed to my sister's house. Terry (my sister's fiance) and their neighbor decided to build a bonfire pit out of an old barrel, so obviously we had a bonfire from 7pm-2am. However, I didn't get to bed until almost 5am. There was a pleasant, yet unexpected visit from a person that I'm "getting to know better". Let's just say it was a really good time. ;o)
I got up 3 hours later on Saturday morning because Kayla always gets up early. We hung out with the neighbors for a few hours once they all dragged themselves out of their beds. Anyway, after that we got ready and headed to my cousin's house for their daughter's 3rd birithday. I got to see all of my family I haven't seen since last Easter, I think. It was great. It's always entertaining when my dad's side of the family gets together.
After the party my cousin drove me home to my sister's place and we hung out and babysat while Liz and Terry finally got a night out. My cousin, Jenniefer and I were like best friends growing up, she's 4 and a half years younger than me, but we always got along. It was great to hang with her because since I've been at college we haven't really kept in contact.
Sunday I went into the city (Chicago) to see Peter, an awesome friend from high school. He's doing grad work at Northwestern right now and they're providing housing... it's huge! There's 3 stories and a roof to hang out on... it's amazing.
It may not seem like it was a crazy weekend, but I can't go into too many details here, you'll have to ask me about it.
Other than that, life is good. I'm almost completely healed from my back injury, classes are alright, and I finally have a facebook account!
I'd love to hear how things are with whoever reads this so leave a comment or give me a call.
